Registered Veterinary Nurse

Job Description

Our client is a well-established veterinary practice offering a wide range of services, supported by a 24-hour hospital and a network of neighbouring practices. They are seeking a Veterinary Nurse to join their friendly and supportive team.

The successful candidate will work alongside a team of experienced vets and nurses, contributing to patient care and the development of the practice. This role offers the opportunity to participate in surgeries, manage patient care, and support the overall operation of the practice.

Responsibilities

In this role, the successful candidate will:

• Consistently deliver exceptional care to clients.
• Assist with surgeries and procedures, managing pre- and post-procedure activities.
• Conduct nurse-led appointments and Schedule 3 activities.
• Monitor and care for patients.
• Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the veterinary team.
• Handle patient transfers for out-of-hours or enhanced care.
• Dispense and verify medication.
• Maintain professional excellence by adhering to all regulatory, practice, and operational standards.
• Hold briefings to engage and coordinate the team for effective practice operations.

Requirements

• RCVS-registered Veterinary Nurse.
• Experience in delivering high-quality care to patients and clients.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Experience in supporting nurse consultations and understanding their impact on practice performance.
• Proficient in using coaching and influencing skills to maximise colleague potential.
