Our client is seeking a full-time Qualified Veterinary Nurse to join their friendly, professional team at a small animal practice. The practice is located in a vibrant area with excellent local amenities and transport links.

The successful candidate will join a supportive team and contribute to a range of services, including routine and advanced diagnostics, surgeries, and specialised treatments. You will have the chance to run your own nurse clinics and collaborate with experienced colleagues. The role offers the opportunity to work in a well-equipped, newly refurbished practice in a dynamic location.

 

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional care to patients and clients.
  • Assist with surgeries and procedures, including pre- and post-procedure tasks.
  • Conduct nurse-led appointments and manage Schedule 3 activities.
  • Monitor and manage patient care and treatment.
  • Handle patient admissions and discharges as directed by the veterinary team.
  • Dispense and check medications.
  • Adhere to all regulatory, practice, and operational standards.
  • Lead team briefings to ensure effective practice operations.

 

Requirements

  • RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse.
  • Proven experience in providing excellent patient and client care.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Experience in supporting nurse consults and understanding their impact on practice performance.
  • Proficient in coaching and influencing colleagues to optimise performance.
