Registered Veterinary Nurse

Job Description

Our client is a leading veterinary care provider with practices across the UK and a growing presence overseas. They are currently seeking an enthusiastic part-time Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join their fantastic team.

As a part-time RVN, you will work three days a week, joining a well-rounded and hardworking team that thrives on collaboration and enjoys a good laugh along the way. You will contribute to various aspects of veterinary care, including supporting surgeries, managing patient care, and ensuring the smooth running of the practice. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fully equipped practice with access to state-of-the-art facilities.

Responsibilities:

• Consistently deliver exceptional care to clients and their pets.
• Assist with surgeries and procedures, including all pre- and post-procedure activities.
• Conduct nurse-led appointments and perform Schedule 3 activities.
• Monitor and care for patients throughout their treatment.
• Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the veterinary team.
• Complete patient transfers to out-of-hours or enhanced care.
• Dispense and check medication accurately.
• Ensure professional excellence, adhering to all regulatory, practice, and operational standards.
• Lead briefings to engage and coordinate the team for the most effective practice operations.

Requirements:

• RCVS-registered Veterinary Nurse.
• Experience in delivering exceptional patient and client care.
• Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Experience in supporting nurse consults and understanding their impact on practice performance and efficiency.
• Strong coaching and influencing skills to bring out the best in every colleague.
