Our client is currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Part-Time Veterinary Nurse to join their dedicated team. In this role, you will play an essential part in delivering excellent nursing care, supporting veterinary surgeons during procedures, and ensuring a positive experience for clients.

The successful candidate will become an integral member of a close-knit team, working alongside experienced veterinary surgeons and support staff. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to a variety of projects, including surgical support, patient care, and client engagement, all within a practice committed to the highest standards of veterinary care.

 

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Consistently deliver exceptional care to clients.
  • Support surgeries and procedures, completing all pre- and post-procedure activities.
  • Conduct nurse-led appointments and Schedule 3 activities.
  • Monitor and care for patients.
  • Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the veterinary team.
  • Complete patient transfers to out-of-hours or enhanced care.
  • Dispense and check medication.
  • Maintain professional excellence by complying with all regulatory, practice, and operational standards.
  • Hold briefings to engage and coordinate your team for effective practice management.

 

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS.
  • Experience in delivering exceptional care to both patients and clients.
  • A strong ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Experience in supporting nurse consultations, with an understanding of how this contributes to practice performance and efficiency.
  • Coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
