Job Description

They are seeking a full-time Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their team, working 40 hours per week with 1:6 full weekends. This role is integral to providing exceptional care within their practice.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to become a key member of their dedicated team, contributing to a variety of high-impact projects. They will be involved in supporting surgeries and procedures, managing patient care, and enhancing practice efficiency.

 

Responsibilities

  • Deliver outstanding care to clients and patients.
  • Assist with surgeries and procedures, including pre- and post-procedure tasks.
  • Conduct nurse-led appointments and Schedule 3 activities.
  • Provide patient monitoring and care.
  • Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the veterinary team.
  • Coordinate patient transfers to out-of-hours or enhanced care facilities.
  • Dispense and verify medication.
  • Maintain high standards of care, adhering to all regulatory and practice standards.
  • Lead briefings to engage and coordinate the team for effective practice operation.

 

Requirements

  • RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse.
  • Proven experience in delivering excellent patient and client care.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Experience supporting nurse consults and understanding their impact on practice performance.
  • Strong coaching and influencing skills to optimise team performance.
