Job Description

Our client is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their welcoming and supportive team. Their practice offers a diverse caseload, providing ample opportunities to expand and refine your nursing skills in a dynamic environment.

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will become an integral part of a close-knit team comprising three veterinarians, including two branch partners, a head nurse, and two student nurses. You will have the opportunity to work with modern facilities, including digital x-ray, ultrasound, and multi-parameter anaesthetic monitoring. The veterinarians specialise in areas such as dermatology, small animal medicine, and exotic animals, offering you a rich learning environment. You’ll contribute to various projects, enhancing your experience and professional development.

 

Responsibilities

  • Consistently deliver exceptional care to clients and their pets.
  • Support surgeries and procedures, completing all pre- and post-procedure activities.
  • Conduct nurse-led appointments and Schedule 3 activities.
  • Provide patient monitoring and care.
  • Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the veterinary team.
  • Arrange patient transfers to out-of-hours or enhanced care services.
  • Dispense and check medication.
  • Maintain professional excellence, complying with all regulatory, practice, and operational standards.
  • Lead briefings to coordinate and engage the team, ensuring the effective operation of the practice.

 

Requirements

  • RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse.
  • Proven experience in delivering exceptional patient and client care.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Experience in supporting nurse consultations and understanding their impact on practice performance and efficiency.
  • Strong coaching and influencing skills to maximise team performance.
