A well-established and much-loved first opinion practice is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to lead their thriving team. Known for delivering exceptional patient care and fostering a supportive, collaborative environment, this is an ideal opportunity for a nurse looking to take the next step in their career.

The successful candidate will be stepping into a senior role within a growing and well-supported team. With new team members joining soon-including a part-time vet and additional support staff-this is a pivotal role where they’ll help shape the clinic’s continued success. They’ll work closely with a senior vet and be supported by a team of trainee nurses and a dedicated regional manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the clinic alongside the senior vet
  • Guide and support the nursing team to maintain high clinical and operational standards
  • Coordinate diary management and ensure efficient workflows
  • Maintain and monitor clinical equipment and stock levels
  • Uphold clinical governance, compliance, and team engagement
  • Weekend rotation includes 1 in 4 Saturday mornings and 1 in 10 Sundays at a 24-hour hospital, plus one bank holiday per year (with time off in lieu)

Requirements

  • RCVS-registered Veterinary Nurse
  • Previous experience in a senior or leadership position preferred
  • Confident in managing both clinical duties and team dynamics
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • A passion for excellent patient care and team development

Benefits

  • Competitive salary of £34,000 to £39,000 depending on experience, with scope for growth
