Our client, a leading 24-hour veterinary hospital, is seeking a proactive and passionate Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join their welcoming and well-established team. This full-time position offers a dynamic and varied role within a fast-paced, collaborative environment, perfect for an RVN eager to deepen their clinical expertise.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in an RCVS-accredited small animal hospital with additional Emergency and Critical Care (ECC) accreditation. They will play a vital role in supporting a wide range of cases, from inpatient care to advanced diagnostic and surgical procedures. Working alongside a skilled and friendly team, the RVN will contribute to high-quality patient care while benefiting from excellent professional development and mentoring.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide inpatient care and monitoring to ensure the well-being of patients.
  • Conduct nurse consults and run various clinics, providing care and advice to clients.
  • Perform diagnostic imaging, including ultrasonography and radiography.
  • Assist with advanced procedures such as CT scans, endoscopy, and soft tissue/orthopaedic surgeries.
  • Participate in emergency and critical care case management, providing support during overnight shifts.
  • Ensure the effective running of the hospital by assisting with admissions, discharges, and patient transfers.
  • Offer support during surgeries and procedures, managing pre- and post-operative care.

Requirements:

  • RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse.
  • Proven experience in delivering exceptional patient and client care.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and handle a variety of clinical duties.
  • Experience in supporting nurse consults and understanding their role in improving practice performance.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills to foster a positive team dynamic.
