Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join a busy and well-regarded small animal practice. This role is ideal for an experienced nurse ready to step into a senior position, take on leadership responsibilities, and help shape the future of a thriving team.
As the Senior RVN, the successful candidate will play a key role in the smooth day-to-day running of the practice. They will work closely with the senior vet, trainee nurses, and the wider regional support team to ensure the delivery of outstanding patient care while supporting and inspiring colleagues. Responsibilities
In this role, the successful candidate will:
- Lead, support, and motivate the nursing team
- Ensure the clinic runs efficiently, including diary management and equipment maintenance
- Oversee clinical governance and uphold the highest standards of care
- Mentor and support trainee nurses in their development
- Collaborate with vets, VCAs, and regional management to maintain excellent team morale
- Coordinate with referral hospitals for complex cases and out-of-hours care
Requirements

- RVN qualification and experience in small animal practice
- A proactive and organised approach to leadership and patient care
- Strong communication skills to engage effectively with colleagues and clients
- A positive, team-focused attitude and a willingness to support others
- Confidence in managing a busy caseload in a fast-paced environment
