Job Description
An established, independent small animal practice is seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join their team part-time. For over a decade, they’ve focused on delivering outstanding patient care in a collaborative and supportive environment. The successful candidate will join a dedicated veterinary team with a wealth of experience—from recent graduates to certificate holders in surgery, ophthalmology, and cardiology. The practice handles a diverse range of cases, including soft tissue and orthopaedic procedures such as BOAS, TPLO, and fracture repairs. The facility is purpose-built and well-equipped, with ongoing investment in modern equipment to support the team’s clinical interests.
Responsibilities
- Balance consulting and surgical duties on a flexible rota
- Work 2.5 to 3 days per week, including 1 in 7 Saturday mornings
- One late finish per week (6:30 pm), with other days finishing at 5:00 pm
- Protected admin time and lunch breaks included in the schedule
- Provide remote support for inpatients one evening per week and 1 in 7 weekends
- Contribute to a collaborative and positive working environment
Requirements
- Qualified Veterinary Surgeon with small animal practice experience
- Confidence in both consultations and surgery
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
- Eligibility to work in the UK (visa sponsorship available)
