Job Description
Our client is an independent, forward-thinking practice entering an exciting new chapter with the launch of a state-of-the-art Hospital and Rehab Centre. They are looking for a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join their supportive, close-knit team and help deliver outstanding care.
This is an opportunity to work with an experienced, passionate team that values collaboration, learning, and innovation. The successful candidate will have the chance to shape new services, handle a varied caseload, and develop clinical interests – with full support if they wish to pursue certificates.
Responsibilities
As the newest vet, you will:
- Provide a mix of consultations and routine surgeries across a four-day working week.
- Deliver excellent patient care in a calm, supportive environment.
- Take part in a shared out-of-hours rota (1-in-4 weekends and one weeknight), with a manageable caseload and support always available.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues on cases and contribute ideas as the practice expands.
- Help develop workflows and services in the new hospital and rehabilitation facilities.
Requirements
Our client is looking for someone who:
- Has some post-graduate experience and confidence with routine surgical procedures.
- Communicates well with clients and colleagues.
- Enjoys a varied caseload and is eager to learn and grow.
- Shares their values of compassion, teamwork, and transparency.

Benefits
Our client offers:
- Salary of £40,000 – £80,000 (DOE)
- Four-day working week with 1-in-4 weekend rota
