Our client is a member of Huronia Veterinary Emergency Clinic for after-hours services.

Duties:

• Perform wellness examinations and diagnose diseases or abnormal conditions in individual animals through physical examinations and/or laboratory tests.
• Treat sick or injured animals by prescribing medication, dressing wounds, or performing surgery.
• Vaccinate and titre test, and dispense parasite preventatives to animals to prevent diseases.
• Advise clients on feeding, housing, behavior, breeding, hygiene, and general care of animals.
• Perform routine, emergency, and post-mortem examinations.
• Provide a range of veterinary services including obstetrics, surgery, dentistry, and euthanasia.
• Supervise registered veterinary technicians and animal care workers.
• Responsible for the overall operation of the animal hospital or mobile services.
• Enforce College of Veterinarians of Ontario and government regulations.

Compensation package:

• Salary commensurate with experience; $124,833 annual salary
• 40 hours a week, permanent, fulltime
• 3 weeks vacation
