Job Description

Our client is a member of Huronia Veterinary Emergency Clinic for after-hours services.
Duties:
- Perform wellness examinations and diagnose diseases or abnormal conditions in individual animals through physical examinations and/or laboratory tests.
- Treat sick or injured animals by prescribing medication, dressing wounds, or performing surgery.
- Vaccinate and titre test, and dispense parasite preventatives to animals to prevent diseases.
- Advise clients on feeding, housing, behavior, breeding, hygiene, and general care of animals.
- Perform routine, emergency, and post-mortem examinations.
- Provide a range of veterinary services including obstetrics, surgery, dentistry, and euthanasia.
- Supervise registered veterinary technicians and animal care workers.
- Responsible for the overall operation of the animal hospital or mobile services.
- Enforce College of Veterinarians of Ontario and government regulations.
Compensation package:
- Salary commensurate with experience; $124,833 annual salary
- 40 hours a week, permanent, fulltime
- 3 weeks vacation
