Job Description

Our client is a modern, first-opinion small animal practice with two branches, known for their multicultural team and extensive experience. They perform a range of procedures, from neutering and dental work to BOAS and orthopaedics. They pride themselves on their harmonious work environment and state-of-the-art equipment, consistently investing in new technologies to provide the best care.

The successful candidate will join a dedicated team of veterinary professionals, working in either of the two branches. In one branch, you will work with a variety of patients, including dogs, cats, and small furries, alongside specialists in Dentistry and Ultrasonography. In the other branch, a 24-hour hospital, you will handle complex cases, particularly in ECC, and collaborate with a head vet who is a registered Cambridge BOAS assessor passionate about bull breeds.

Responsibilities

As a Veterinary Surgeon, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing high-quality clinical care to all pets.
  • Ensuring an outstanding client experience.
  • Helping to create and maintain an efficient clinic.
  • Consulting and performing surgery as part of general practice.
  • Managing your diary sensibly to ensure timely departure, with consults finishing half an hour before the end of the shift.
  • Factoring time into your day for case work-ups and phone calls.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Be comfortable with most aspects of general practice, both consulting and surgery.
  • Be committed to delivering high-quality clinical care.
  • Have strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Work well within a team and support colleagues.
  • Adhere to professional dress code and appearance policies.
