Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and forward-thinking registered veterinary nurse to join a professional and friendly team.
They are a veterinary nursing training practice and have their RCVS practice standards accreditation. Their spacious surgery, based in a Pets at Home store, is purpose-built to industry-leading standards and has state-of-the-art equipment, including digital DR x-ray, dental x-ray, and high-spec ultrasound. They have three consultation rooms, a dedicated operating theatre, lab area, prep room, and separate dog, cat, and isolation wards.
About Their Practice:
The current team consists of 6 Vets, 6 RVNs, 4 SVNs, 2 VCAs, 4 receptionists, and a practice manager and admin team. They are hugely supportive of each other and take pride in the strong relationships they have built, and continue to build, with their large and loyal client base. The veterinary nursing team is encouraged to work closely with the vets but also alongside each other and the rest of the team to utilise their skills to the fullest potential within the RVN qualification to achieve maximum job satisfaction. The JVP is keen to offer support to all of the team and encourage any specific areas of interest.
The Role:
This role would suit a recently qualified or more experienced registered nurse looking for the next step in their career. They are looking for someone who is happy to get involved with all aspects of nursing, has great communication skills, and is looking to work with a positive and passionate team. A desire to help train students and become/continue as a clinical coach would be advantageous. Full training can be provided.
The full-time rota consists of an average of 40 hours per week. Weekday shifts vary between 8.00 am and 7.30 pm, and you will be required to work 1 full weekend every 8 weeks. Lieu days will be provided for each weekend worked, and there are no out-of-hours duties or on-call, allowing you to enjoy an excellent work/life balance. Part-time applications will be considered on an individual basis.
