Our client is seeking a qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join a supportive and friendly team dedicated to delivering exceptional care to patients and clients. This position presents an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified RVN eager to advance their career.
The successful candidate will join a small, caring team focused on providing personalised service to clients. The practice handles a high volume of ophthalmology cases, including second opinion work. The team consists of two vets and a full support team, experienced in clinical coaching. The clinic is well-equipped and led by partners who foster a welcoming and friendly environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional care to clients and their pets.
- Assist with surgeries and procedures, managing all pre- and post-procedure activities.
- Conduct nurse-led appointments and Schedule 3 activities.
- Monitor and care for patients.
- Manage patient admissions and discharges as directed by the veterinary team.
- Coordinate patient transfers to out-of-hours or enhanced care.
- Dispense and check medication.
- Uphold professional excellence, adhering to regulatory, practice, and operational standards.
- Conduct team briefings to support the effective running of the practice.
Requirements
- RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse.
- Experience in delivering high-quality patient and client care.
- Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Experience in supporting nurse consults and understanding their contribution to practice performance and efficiency.
- Skilled in coaching and influencing colleagues to achieve the best outcomes.
