Job Description

Our client, a network of established and friendly veterinary practices, is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join their multi-site team. This role offers the opportunity to work across several practices, with flexibility to focus on a preferred location if desired. Serving a diverse client base, the role promises an exciting and varied caseload.

The successful candidate will join a dynamic team of veterinary professionals, including 8 veterinary surgeons (including 3 Partners), 9 qualified nurses, 3 student nurses, 4 VCAs, 7 receptionists, and a dedicated practice manager. They will contribute to a range of projects including small animal surgery, orthopaedic repairs, and advanced imaging, benefiting from mentorship by experienced senior partners and continuous professional development.

Responsibilities

  • Perform small animal surgeries, including orthopaedic repairs (TTA/TPLO) and soft tissue surgeries.
  • Utilise advanced imaging equipment and diagnostic tools such as digital x-ray and ultrasound machines.
  • Provide acute care and intensive care support, ensuring the well-being of patients throughout their treatment.
  • Collaborate with the veterinary team to deliver high-quality patient care and maintain client satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Veterinary degree (BVetMed or equivalent).
  • Strong surgical skills with experience in orthopaedic and soft tissue surgeries preferred.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a compassionate approach to patient care.
  • Ability to work 36 hours per week, with availability for 1 in 4 weekends.
