Job Description

Our client, a growing veterinary practice, is looking for a new team member to help expand the services provided to their clients. This role offers the opportunity to join a small, friendly team and contribute to a practice known for its caring and compassionate service.

The successful candidate will work with a dedicated team of two vets, three nurses, and one VCA, supported by an experienced front-of-house team. You will have the opportunity to collaborate on diverse cases and benefit from a culture of mutual support and continuous learning. The practice also offers the chance to develop any special interests you bring to the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality veterinary care through consultations and surgeries.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless daily operations.
  • Participate in ‘cat-only’ clinics and help maintain the practice’s Bronze ISFM ‘cat-friendly’ status.
  • Support the practice’s goal of becoming a Dogs Trust ‘dog-friendly’ practice.
  • Contribute to the training and development of nursing staff through ‘lunch and learn’ sessions.
  • Potentially take on occasional sole charge responsibilities, depending on team holidays.
  • Join the 1 in 4 Saturday rota (8:45-12:45), subject to discussion at the interview.

Requirements:

  • Confidence in routine consultations and surgeries.
  • Proven experience in veterinary practice.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team and share knowledge collaboratively.
  • Willingness to support and participate in the practice’s special clinics and training programmes.
  • Flexibility to adapt to a varied rota and occasional sole charge responsibilities.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience (£40,000 – £55,000).
  • Paid memberships.
  • Visa sponsorship.
  • £2,000 relocation package.
  • CPD allowance.
  • Up to 30% off across the Pets network and access to the Pets reward hub, offering discounts across numerous high street retailers.
  • Opportunity to progress clinically and potentially become a partner.

Our client offers an excellent working environment and supports relocation with excellent schools, an affordable cost of living, and proximity to major cities with excellent transport networks, making it an ideal location for relocation.

If you seek a supportive, friendly, and professional environment where you can flourish, alongside a team that prioritizes mutual support, this role may be the perfect fit for you!
