An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to lead or join a friendly team in a well-regarded practice. This role offers the chance to shape and drive the branch forward in a location with significant potential to develop into a successful and thriving practice.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a substantial impact by contributing to the growth and success of the practice. They will work with a supportive team and engage in various projects to enhance the practice’s operations and patient care. The role includes access to a local 24-Hour Hospital for out-of-hours care and an ambulance service for patient transportation.

 

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional clinical care during consultations and procedures
  • Provide clear updates to clients about their patients
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, practice, and operational standards
  • Prepare accurate treatment and care plans with cost estimates
  • Mentor and develop the team, enhancing their skills
  • Manage clinical handovers and arrange transfers for out-of-hours care
  • Share and implement clinical best practices within the practice and wider community

 

Requirements

  • RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon
  • Proven experience in delivering outstanding care to patients and clients
  • Effective team player with demonstrated clinical leadership skills
  • Experience in fostering a progressive clinical culture
  • Ability to support nurse consultations and Schedule 3 procedures
  • Skilled in coaching and influencing colleagues for optimal performance
