Job Description

Our client takes pride in their RCVS Practice Standards accreditation and Silver accredited ISFM cat-friendly status, reflecting a commitment to excellence. They are a growing practice known for handling a diverse range of surgical and medical cases, with a high proportion of insured clients. Currently, they are seeking a veterinary surgeon to join their dedicated team, which includes 4 vets, 3 RVNs, 2 SVNs, and 3 receptionists.

The successful candidate will join a supportive team of vets with varied clinical interests. They will have the opportunity to work in a bright, spacious, and air-conditioned environment equipped with digital X-ray, ultrasound, full lab facilities, and separate dog and cat wards. The practice emphasises work-life balance, offering a flexible rota and just one Saturday in four.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform general surgical and medical procedures.
  • Provide high-quality veterinary care to clients’ pets.
  • Collaborate effectively with the experienced nursing team.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with clinical standards.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the practice’s growth.

Requirements:

  • Experienced veterinary surgeon with a solid background in general practice.
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
  • Strong surgical and medical capabilities.
  • Commitment to continuing professional development and learning.
  • Ability to uphold high standards of patient care and client service.
