Our client, a modern and well-equipped veterinary practice, is seeking a Consulting Only Vet to join their friendly and experienced team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated veterinary professional to make a meaningful impact within a supportive and dynamic environment.

The successful candidate will join a highly experienced team led by established Branch Partners and a Head Registered Veterinary Nurse with 15 years of experience. They will work closely with a skilled nursing team, including RVNs and a dedicated reception and night team. The hospital is well-staffed with 9-10 vets on rota daily, ensuring comprehensive support for both day and night cases. This position offers the chance to contribute to high-quality care and collaborate with certificate holders or those currently undertaking certificates.

 

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional clinical care to patients during consultations and procedures.
  • Provide outstanding care to clients, ensuring clear communication and updates on patient progress.
  • Uphold professional excellence by adhering to the highest standards of regulatory, practice, and operational compliance.
  • Prepare tailored, accurate treatment and care plans for each patient, including clear cost estimates.
  • Mentor and develop the team, enhancing their skills and using them effectively.
  • Complete clinical handovers and arrange the transfer of any patient needing out-of-hours or enhanced care.
  • Proactively support and share clinical best practices within and across practices and the wider community.

 

Requirements

  • RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon.
  • Experience in delivering exceptional care to both patients and clients.
  • Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated clinical leadership skills.
  • Experience in fostering a progressive clinical culture.
  • Understanding of and support for nurse consults and Schedule 3 procedures, with insight into how this contributes to clinic performance and efficiency.
  • Proficient in using coaching and influencing skills to maximise colleague potential.
