Job Description

Our client is a leading provider of veterinary care across the UK, with practices that include 24-hour veterinary centres and referral centres, as well as a growing international presence in France, Germany, and Spain. They are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Veterinary Surgeon to join their modern 24-hour Veterinary Hospital.

This is a full-time role, working four days a week, with flexibility to accommodate the right candidate. You will join a team of 14 Dip AVN’s/RVN’s/SVN’s and support staff, working closely with 7 vets, including certificate holders. The hospital is RCVS accredited and fully equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to various projects and further your career in a supportive and progressive environment.

 

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional clinical care to patients during consultations and procedures.
  • Provide clear and compassionate communication to clients, offering updates on patient care.
  • Maintain the highest standards of regulatory, practice, and operational compliance.
  • Prepare and manage tailored treatment and care plans, including cost estimates.
  • Mentor and develop team members, enhancing their skills and utilising them effectively.
  • Conduct clinical handovers and manage the transfer of patients requiring out-of-hours or enhanced care.
  • Promote and share clinical best practices within and across practices in the wider network.

 

Requirements

  • RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon.
  • Proven experience in delivering high-quality care to both patients and clients.
  • Strong teamwork and clinical leadership skills.
  • Experience in fostering a progressive clinical culture.
  • Proficient in supporting nurse consults and Schedule 3 procedures.
  • Skilled in coaching and influencing colleagues to achieve the best outcomes.
