As a Veterinary Surgeon, you will be responsible for consulting, performing routine surgeries, and conducting diagnostics, including imaging. This role is ideal for a well-rounded vet looking to further develop their skills, with support available to specialise in areas of interest. You will work within a friendly team in a practice equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including a dedicated theatre, dental x-ray, and a brand-new ultrasound machine.

 

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional clinical care during consultations and procedures.
  • Provide clear and compassionate updates to clients regarding their pets.
  • Ensure the highest standards of regulatory, practice, and operational compliance.
  • Prepare tailored treatment and care plans with accurate cost estimates.
  • Mentor and develop the team, enhancing their skills and effectiveness.
  • Complete clinical handovers and manage patient transfers for out-of-hours or enhanced care.
  • Share clinical best practices within the clinic and across the wider community.

 

Requirements

  • Registered with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS).
  • Experienced in delivering exceptional care to both patients and clients.
  • Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong clinical leadership skills.
  • Experience in fostering a progressive clinical culture.
  • Understanding of nurse consults and Schedule 3 procedures, and their impact on clinic performance.
  • Skilled in coaching and influencing colleagues to achieve their best.
