They are currently seeking a friendly and dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join their team.

As a Veterinary Surgeon, you will be part of a multi-vet team supported by experienced nurses and a practice manager. You will have the opportunity to work closely with the Lead Vet, who has a special interest in internal medicine. The clinic is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including digital x-ray, ultrasound, and in-house blood machines. This role offers you the chance to contribute to high-quality patient care and collaborate on various projects within the practice.

 

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Provide exceptional clinical care to patients during consultations and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, offering clear updates on patient progress.
  • Maintain professional excellence by adhering to the highest standards of regulatory, practice, and operational compliance.
  • Prepare accurate and tailored treatment and care plans for each patient, including clear cost estimates.
  • Mentor and develop your team, enhancing their skills and utilising them effectively.
  • Manage clinical handovers and coordinate the transfer of patients requiring out-of-hours or enhanced care.
  • Share and support clinical best practices within the clinic and the broader veterinary community.

 

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • RCVS registration as a Veterinary Surgeon.
  • Experience in delivering exceptional care to both patients and clients.
  • Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated clinical leadership skills.
  • Experience in fostering a progressive clinical culture.
  • Knowledge and experience in supporting nurse consults and Schedule 3 procedures, understanding their impact on clinic performance and efficiency.
  • Strong coaching and influencing skills to maximise team potential.
