Job Description

Are you interested in supporting the growth of a newly refurbished 24-hour veterinary practice? The practice has recently undergone a comprehensive refurbishment, featuring state-of-the-art technology including digital and dental x-rays, ultrasound, endoscopy, tonometer, and orthopaedic equipment. This new 24-hour practice will take over a loyal client base and will be managed by a skilled team including the Lead Vet and Practice Manager.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in diagnosing, treating, and managing various medical conditions in a small animal practice. This role offers the opportunity to utilise medical expertise, surgical skills, and communication abilities to provide exceptional care, ensuring the health and happiness of patients and clients. The candidate will work within a supportive and innovative team, contributing to the practice’s continued success and growth.

 

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional clinical care during consultations and procedures.
  • Provide excellent client care, including clear updates on patient progress.
  • Maintain the highest standards of regulatory, practice, and operational compliance.
  • Prepare accurate, tailored treatment and care plans for each patient, including clear cost estimates.
  • Mentor and develop team members, enhancing their skills and utilising them effectively.
  • Complete clinical handovers and arrange patient transfers to out-of-hours or enhanced care as needed.
  • Proactively support and share clinical best practices within and across the practice network.

 

Requirements

  • RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon.
  • Proven experience in delivering outstanding patient and client care.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated clinical leadership skills.
  • Experience in fostering a progressive clinical culture.
  • Experience in supporting nurse consultations and Schedule 3 procedures, with an understanding of their impact on clinic performance.
  • Skilled in coaching and influencing colleagues to achieve optimal results.
