Job Description

Our client, a leading veterinary care provider, has an opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. This is a permanent, full-time role, working 40 hours per week over four days, with options for 1:3 half weekends or 1:6 full weekends. They are also open to part-time applications and flexible working arrangements to suit individual needs.

The successful candidate will join a dedicated team, including a lead vet, head nurse, and student nurse, all committed to providing exceptional client and patient care. You will have the opportunity to work in a spacious practice equipped with state-of-the-art veterinary services and facilities, including digital radiography and endoscopy. Additionally, you will have access to a wide range of services across the entire network, including MRI and CT scans. Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional clinical care during consultations and procedures.
  • Provide outstanding service to clients, keeping them informed about their pets’ conditions.
  • Ensure the highest standards of regulatory, practice, and operational compliance.
  • Develop and implement tailored treatment and care plans for each patient.
  • Mentor and develop team members, enhancing their skills and capabilities.
  • Complete clinical handovers and coordinate the transfer of patients needing out-of-hours or advanced care.
  • Promote and share best clinical practices within and across practices.

 

Requirements

  • Registered with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS).
  • Proven experience in delivering exceptional patient and client care.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong clinical leadership skills with experience in fostering a progressive clinical culture.
  • Ability to support nurse consultations and Schedule 3 procedures.
  • Experience in using coaching and influencing skills to maximise team performance.
