Job Description

Our client, a leading veterinary care provider, is seeking a dedicated and motivated Veterinary Surgeon to join their talented team. This role is ideal for a small animal vet who is eager to build strong relationships with clients and further develop the client base, with full support from regional practices and the support team.

The successful candidate will become an integral part of an experienced team, including a Lead Vet, Head RVN, a full nursing team, and a client care team. The practice offers a comprehensive range of services and state-of-the-art facilities, such as diagnostic imaging, dental services with radiography, and an in-house laboratory. Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional clinical care to patients during consultations and procedures.
  • Ensure excellent client communication, offering clear updates on patient progress.
  • Maintain professional excellence, adhering to the highest standards of regulatory, practice, and operational compliance.
  • Develop and prepare tailored, accurate treatment and care plans for each patient with transparent cost estimates.
  • Engage, mentor, and develop the team, enhancing their skills and utilising their abilities effectively.
  • Complete clinical handovers and manage the transfer of any patients requiring out-of-hours or enhanced care.
  • Actively support and share clinical best practices within and across practices.

Requirements

  • RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon.
  • Experience in providing exceptional care to both patients and clients.
  • Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated clinical leadership skills.
  • Experience in fostering a progressive clinical culture.
  • Knowledge of supporting nurse consultations and Schedule 3 procedures, understanding their impact on clinic performance and efficiency.
  • Skilled in using coaching and influencing techniques to maximise team performance.
