As a Metal Foundry Operative, you will have the opportunity to work with a dedicated team in a fast-paced and rewarding environment. Responsibilities:

  • Operate foundry equipment, including furnaces, casting machines, and mould-making tools.
  • Melt and handle metal in its molten form, ensuring proper temperatures and quality control.
  • Safely pour molten metal into moulds and monitor the cooling and shaping process.
  • Inspect castings for defects, ensuring all products meet quality standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of foundry equipment.
  • Follow strict health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Keep accurate production records and report on daily tasks and outputs.

 

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in metal casting, foundry operations, or similar manufacturing roles is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify quality issues or defects in castings.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to work in high-temperature environments.
  • Basic knowledge of foundry equipment and molten metal handling.
  • Understanding of health and safety standards in industrial environments.
  • A team player with good communication skills and a proactive attitude.
  • The ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
