Job Description

An exciting opportunity is available for a full-time Veterinary Surgeon to join a growing practice. With plans in place for expansion to enhance facilities, the practice aims to become a Fear Free environment while providing excellent care and support to both patients and colleagues.

The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic and supportive team, working alongside 2 vets, a HVN, 2 RVNs, 1 SVN, 4 VCAs, and a reception team. The role offers a great opportunity to gain experience, contribute to a variety of cases, and explore the potential for future partnership. The candidate will also have the chance to work with in-house referrals and develop their skills in a wide range of veterinary procedures.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage a varied caseload with in-house referrals.
  • Perform routine and advanced procedures using equipment such as Doppler ultrasound, dental X-ray, and electrosurgery units.
  • Offer 20-minute sick pet consultations (30 minutes for new graduates).
  • Work collaboratively with the team, contributing ideas and expertise.
  • Participate in social activities to build a family-friendly environment.
  • Provide exceptional care and communication to clients.

Requirements

  • Qualified Veterinary Surgeon (new graduates welcome).
  • Experience with or willingness to develop in-house referrals and advanced procedures.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • A desire to work in a collaborative and supportive environment.

  • Competitive salary of £35k for new graduates or up to £65k for certificate holders, depending on experience.
  • No Sunday working or OOHs after 7 pm.
