Job Description
Are you ready to take your veterinary career to the next level? Our client is seeking a passionate and dedicated Veterinary Surgeon with confidence in ultrasonography to join their team at a well-equipped regional practice.
This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside Certificate Holders in a supportive environment. The successful candidate will contribute to high-quality patient care using state-of-the-art facilities, including digital and dental X-ray, ultrasound and echocardiography, ECG, and multiparameter anaesthetic monitoring. Access to a complete laboratory featuring a microscope, haematology, biochemistry, and iSTAT analysers will further enhance your diagnostic capabilities. Out-of-hours care is managed by a nearby 24-hour hospital, offering access to CT.
The role consists of 40 hours a week over four days, plus one in three Saturdays.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional clinical care to patients during consultations and procedures.
- Provide clear and compassionate communication with clients, offering regular updates on patient progress.
- Maintain professional excellence, ensuring adherence to regulatory, practice, and operational compliance.
- Develop personalised treatment and care plans with accurate cost estimates.
- Mentor and support colleagues, fostering a collaborative and positive workplace culture.
- Perform clinical handovers and manage patient transfers for further care when necessary.
- Share best practices and contribute to continuous learning within the veterinary community.
Requirements:
- RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon.
- Proven experience in delivering high-quality care to both patients and clients.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Demonstrated clinical leadership abilities.
- Experience fostering a positive clinical culture.
- Knowledge of supporting nurse consults and Schedule 3 procedures.
- Ability to coach and influence team members to achieve their best.
