  • Work Schedule

Full-time vets work a four-day week with a fixed day off. Clinical work is scheduled between 9am and 6pm, with time set aside at the end of the day to catch up. Consultations are 15 minutes long, with extra time allocated for complex cases. Two vets operate all day, with a third operating for most of the day. Each vet has at least one operating day per week.

The out-of-hours service is managed in-house with a rota that supports work-life balance. Night RVNs are present on-site to care for inpatients, allowing vets to be on-call from home and only attend when necessary. The nine-week rolling rota includes seven weeks with no weekend or on-call shifts. For vets joining the OOH rota, a three-day week can also be considered.
