The successful candidate will be joining a collaborative and knowledgeable veterinary team with over 60 years of combined experience. They will be supported by a skilled group of nurses and receptionists, contributing to a caseload that is predominantly small animals, with the opportunity to become involved in farm, equine, and wildlife work if desired. The practice is currently expanding its facilities, with plans to introduce endoscopy, laparoscopy, and a CT scanner within the next 12 months, making it an exciting time to come on board.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent clinical care to small animals, with optional involvement in farm, equine, and wildlife cases
- Participate in occasional veterinary visits to neighbouring islands (optional)
- Engage in daily clinical rounds and monthly CPD meetings with the wider team
- Take part in a 1:5 out-of-hours rota, including Saturday morning consultations
- Maintain high standards in clinical record-keeping and client communication
- Support local welfare initiatives and contribute to community engagement
Requirements
- MRCVS-qualified Veterinary Surgeon with experience in small animal practice
- Interest in wildlife, exotics, or farm work is welcome but not essential
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, proactive mindset
- Willingness to relocate, visa sponsorship available if required
