Our client is an established mixed practice seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join their dedicated team in a unique setting.

This is an opportunity to work in a varied role within a small, collaborative team delivering predominantly small animal care, with scope to expand into farm and equine work if desired. You’ll also have the chance to work alongside local charities, including supporting wildlife rescue and conservation. As part of an evolving practice investing in new facilities and advanced equipment, you’ll play a key role in shaping services and contributing your expertise.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality clinical care across small animals and occasional exotics or farm cases
• Participate in daily morning rounds and regular team meetings to discuss cases and share knowledge
• Support the development of the practice as new diagnostic tools and facilities are introduced
• Contribute to the out-of-hours rota (1:5 weeknights and weekends, including Saturday morning consultations)
• Mentor and collaborate with nursing and support teams to maintain excellent patient care
• Help maintain the welcoming, client-focused environment the practice is known for

Requirements

• RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon
• Several years of experience in small animal practice preferred
• Confidence managing a varied caseload independently
• A collaborative approach and an interest in contributing to practice development
• Excellent communication skills and commitment to client care
• An interest in exotics, farm, or wildlife work would be welcomed but is not essential
