Job Description

They have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly team. Our client’s Practice Owner is an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse, who leads a supportive and close-knit team of Vets, Nurses, Veterinary Care Assistants and Receptionists.

Our client’s bright, air-conditioned surgery is purpose-built to industry-leading standards and is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including digital X-ray, ultrasound, ECG, ultrasonic dental, in-house biochemistry, microscopy and full surgical facilities.

They are looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon with a strong surgical bias to join their progressive practice. The successful candidate will be confident in a wide range of surgical procedures, ideally with emergency and critical care experience. You will also play an important role in supporting and mentoring junior vets within the team, helping to build a strong, collaborative clinical environment.

The role is full-time, working 40 hours per week, including 1 in 4 Saturday mornings from 9am to 12pm.

They encourage good case development and offer an excellent CPD package. They will consider all aspects of personal development, and support is available for anyone interested in studying towards a certificate.

As you would expect from the market leader in small animal veterinary care, they offer:

  • Attractive remuneration package of £50,000–£70,000 per annum (dependent on experience / FTE)

  • Excellent career opportunities and development due to a varied caseload

  • 20 days’ annual leave plus 8 bank holidays for a full-time equivalent of 40 hours per week

  • Contributory pension scheme

  • Generous CPD and funding for certificates for the right candidate

  • Paid memberships (RCVS, VDS)

  • Childcare vouchers

  • Exclusive company discounts and rewards

If you share a passion for delivering outstanding pet healthcare and great customer service and would like to join the team, they would love to hear from you.

If you would like any further information about this vacancy or the company, please contact the Talent Acquisition team via email for an informal and confidential conversation. Alternatively, you can submit your application directly and a member of the team will be in touch to discuss this further. They look forward to hearing from you.
