Job Description

This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated, customer-focused Veterinary Surgeon with a minimum of three years’ experience to join a friendly and supportive team within a modern, purpose-built practice. The role offers the chance to deliver high-quality clinical care while working in a collaborative environment where patient wellbeing and customer service are central to everything they do. This is a full-time position, working three or four days per week, with a one-in-four weekend rota. The successful candidate will become a key member of the surgery team, working alongside experienced vets, nurses and non-clinical colleagues. They will contribute to a varied caseload, support high clinical standards, and play an active role in delivering outstanding care to patients and clients.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Deliver high standards of preventative, diagnostic and medical care

  • Diagnose and treat sick and injured pets with consistency and compassion

  • Promote pet wellbeing and preventative healthcare

  • Manage a varied GP caseload

  • Communicate clearly and confidently with clients

  • Work collaboratively with vets, nurses and support staff

  • Maintain accurate and thorough clinical records

  • Participate in the weekend rota (1 in 4)

Requirements

They would love to hear from candidates who have:

  • RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon

  • Minimum of three years’ experience in small animal practice

  • Interest in medicine and imaging preferred, though broad GP experience is welcome

  • Strong commitment to patient care and customer service

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • A positive, team-oriented approach

  • Willingness to engage in ongoing learning and development
