Job Description

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Veterinary Surgeon to join their dedicated team. This role is ideal for a newly qualified or recent graduate, as they provide excellent support and mentorship.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work within a busy, growing practice alongside a team of experienced professionals. You will contribute to various projects and help provide top-notch care to patients. The team includes three experienced vets, three RVNs, two SVNs, a VCA, four receptionists, and a practice manager.

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic surgical and consulting tasks.
  • Work closely with the team to provide the highest standard of care.
  • Utilise in-house digital X-ray, IM3 dental X-ray, ultrasound, laboratory, surgical suite, class IV laser therapy machine, and separate dog/cat/isolation wards.
  • Support advanced procedures in soft tissue, orthopaedics, and ophthalmology.
  • Maintain and enhance a supportive and friendly work environment.

Requirements

  • Newly qualified or recent graduate veterinary surgeon.
  • Good basic surgical and consulting skills.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and a passion for providing excellent client and patient care.
  • Ability to work within a 40-hour week, with a consistent weekday rota and a Saturday rota of 1 in 3.
  • Enjoy working as part of an amazing team, maintaining a positive attitude even on challenging days.
