This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Veterinary Surgeon to join a dedicated team and uphold high clinical standards. The role offers significant scope to build a loyal client base and make a substantial impact within the practice.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with a strong team and Practice Manager, contributing to a diverse range of cases and projects. The practice has recently undergone refurbishment and has installed a new X-ray machine, creating an excellent environment for delivering top-tier veterinary care.

 

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional clinical care to patients during consultations and procedures.
  • Provide outstanding client care, ensuring clear updates on patient progress.
  • Maintain professional excellence, adhering strictly to the highest standards of regulatory, practice, and operational compliance.
  • Prepare tailored, accurate treatment and care plans for each patient, including transparent cost estimates.
  • Mentor and develop the team, enhancing their skills and utilising them effectively.
  • Complete clinical handovers and arrange transfers for patients requiring out-of-hours or enhanced care.
  • Proactively support and share best clinical practices within and across practices and the broader veterinary community.

 

Requirements

  • RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon.
  • Experience in delivering exceptional care to both patients and clients.
  • Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated clinical leadership skills.
  • Experience in fostering a progressive clinical culture.
  • Experience in supporting nurse consults and Schedule 3 procedures, with an understanding of their impact on clinic performance and efficiency.
  • Skilled in using coaching and influencing techniques to maximise colleague performance.
