Job Description

Our Client is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. This role offers flexibility with options for full-time (4 days a week) or part-time (2–3 days a week) schedules, Monday to Friday from 08:30 to 18:30, and 1 in 3 Saturdays. The role involves both consulting and operating, with access to excellent equipment including dental X-ray, ultrasound, and an in-house lab. The practice is located in a friendly town with local amenities within walking distance, excellent schools, and close proximity to major transport links. The picturesque area offers superb opportunities for enjoying the countryside.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a supportive and well-equipped practice. They will join a dedicated team providing exceptional patient care and contribute to various clinical and operational projects. The role offers a chance to engage in both routine and advanced procedures while benefiting from a pleasant work environment.

 

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional clinical care to patients during consultations and procedures.
  • Provide clear updates and support to clients regarding their pets’ care.
  • Maintain the highest standards of regulatory, practice, and operational compliance.
  • Prepare accurate, tailored treatment and care plans for patients, including clear cost estimates.
  • Mentor and develop team members, enhancing their skills and effectiveness.
  • Complete clinical handovers and arrange patient transfers for out-of-hours or enhanced care.
  • Proactively support and share best practices within and across practices and the wider community.

 

Requirements

  • RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon.
  • Proven experience in delivering exceptional care to both patients and clients.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and demonstrate clinical leadership skills.
  • Experience in implementing a progressive clinical culture and supporting nurse consultations.
  • Strong coaching and influencing skills to maximise team performance and efficiency.
