Due to expansion, Our client is looking for an additional Veterinary Surgeon to join them on a full-time basis.
They’re located in Charlton, London, within walking distance from both North Greenwich underground and Charlton train station. The practice is conveniently situated for many local bus routes and provides ample free onsite parking.
About the Practice:
The practice has recently undergone a refurbishment and extension, and Our client is delighted with the new space. It features a revamped reception area, six consultation rooms, dedicated cat and dog wards, a dual operating theatre, and a back office. A virtual practice tour on Google Maps is available for those interested.
Our client boasts a large, friendly, and supportive team consisting of Vet Partner Sinead, 7 full-time Vets, 8 RVNs, 1 Student Veterinary Nurse, 5 Veterinary Care Assistants, and 8 Receptionists.
They take pride in the working environment where all team members are encouraged to learn, grow, and excel. Knowledge and expertise are shared during daily rounds, with everyone’s input sought during clinical case discussions.
Several Vets in the team are currently completing certificates in areas such as surgery, ophthalmology, and anaesthesia. The Head Nurse/Practice Owner, Fabio, holds certificates in feline and ECC, and another nurse in the team is working towards an anaesthesia certificate. Our client actively encourages and supports team members interested in gaining further qualifications, whether certificates or other relevant CPD.
About the Role:
They are seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon who is confident with routine surgery and medicine, comfortable with some sole charge responsibility, and capable of making decisions under pressure based on their underpinning knowledge and expertise. While a leaning towards medicine would be preferred, an all-rounder would also be welcome.
The role is full-time, working 4 days per week, plus a 1 in 6 weekend rota. Importantly, there is no OOH
duty, ensuring a healthy work/life balance.
In return, Our client offers:

- Enhanced annual leave
- Enhanced pension contributions
- 1 in 6 weekend rotas
- No OOHs
