Their facility, with plans in process for mezzanine expansion to incorporate four consultation rooms, a dental and imaging suite, a separate induction area, prep room, and lab room, a large colleague space, and a quiet waiting area. This is to support their colleagues, patients, and work towards becoming a Fear Free practice.

About Their Practice:
The Veterinary Surgeon and practice owner is supported by a great crew of two vets, a HVN, two RVNs, one SVN, four VCAs, and a reception team, led by the experienced Practice Manager, on hand to support the whole team. This is a great opportunity for a colleague to join and gain experience of the team and practice with the option of partnership in the future if this is something they are looking to explore.
The Role:
The Veterinary Surgeon is a GDP advisor, experienced in mentoring new graduates, looking for ideas to be worked between new colleagues. They have a good variety of clients and cases, with referrals being available, but due to their client base, they do a lot of work in-house. Equipment includes doppler ultrasound, operating loupes, electrosurgery unit, tonometry, dental x-ray, and a growing orthopaedic kit.
They are looking for a full-time Veterinary Surgeon, but they can also consider flexible hours for the right candidate. Rota -1 in 3 Saturdays (9 am-5:45 pm), no Sunday working or OOHs after 7 pm. They have 20-minute sick pet consults (30 mins for new grads) and also catch up and admin time of over 1 hour rostered into the day.
They encourage socializing outside of work to create a family-friendly environment at work, so include the odd chippy tea nights, rounders events, a lambing party, and walks in the local hills on their days off.
Compensation & Benefits:
For this position, our client can offer:
- Salary of £35k for a new graduate or up to £65k for certificate holders, dependent on experience.
