Job Description

” Out of Hours Veterinary Surgeon required to support small animal team in Long Eaton, Nottinghamshire”

Our client is a Tier 3 hospital status practice, partnering with Vet Partners since March 2019. Operating as a hybrid between a first opinion and a referral clinic, they boast a fantastic local reputation. Currently, they are seeking an Out of Hours Veterinary Surgeon to join their team.

The successful candidate will become an integral part of a dynamic team, providing essential out-of-hours care for small animals. They will collaborate closely with experienced professionals, contributing to maintaining the clinic’s high standards of patient care. The role involves working at their main hospital and supporting neighbouring practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide out-of-hours veterinary care for small animals.
  • Participate in the on-call rota, ensuring availability during designated shifts.
  • Conduct consultations, examinations, and treatments as required.
  • Perform emergency surgeries and procedures when necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates and advice on their pets’ conditions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless patient care and continuity of treatment.

Benefits:

An attractive package awaits the successful candidate, including:

  • Competitive salary ranging from £56,000 to £65,000 depending on experience.
  • Support for EEC certificate or other suitable qualifications.
  • CPD allowance of £1,750 and/or 5 days, with training and support.
