Veterinary Surgeon

Are you an experienced Veterinary Surgeon looking for a dynamic and supportive work environment? Our client, a modern and well-equipped Small Animal GP RCVS Accredited practice, is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. Opened in 2018, the practice has earned silver awards in both ISFM and RWAF, and is committed to providing top-notch care for their patients.

This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work in a diverse and experienced team of 5 Vets, 3 RVNs, 2 SVNs, and 4 VCAs. You will contribute to a variety of projects, including routine consultations, complex medical cases, and surgical procedures. The successful candidate will benefit from a flexible 7-day rota with options for compressed hours, late starts, and split shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent patient and client care
• Conduct routine health consultations
• Handle emergency surgeries with confidence
• Assist in a variety of surgical and medical cases
• Work sole charge during weekends on a rotational basis
• Participate in team meetings and CPD sessions
• Maintain high clinical standards

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a veterinary setting
• Good general consulting, surgical, and medical skills
• Experience in emergency surgery
• Confidence in working sole charge
• Strong team player with excellent communication skills
