Job Description
Our client is seeking a fifth Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly and vibrant team.
The practice is based in the Northwest of England, between the cities of Manchester and Liverpool, just a 30-minute drive from either, along the M62. This is ideal for those who love city exploring on their days off, but also the beaches of Formby, Crosby, and North Wales are all under an hour away if you prefer outdoor exploring. Both cities also have international airports which are perfect for weekend getaways or longer breaks during annual leave. The practice itself is located within a retail park, to the North of Warrington and under 30 minutes’ walk from the local train station.
Their team currently consists of 3 full-time and 1 part-time Veterinary Surgeons, 5 RVNs, 2 SVN’s, 4 Apprentice VCAs, and 5 CCAs, all led by their amazing partners. As a team, they are keen on colleague development, with regular EMS placements for vet students, internal mentoring for new grads, and they are recognized as an RVN and VCA teaching practice.
About you:
Whether you are a new graduate looking for a supportive practice where you can be mentored and grow your confidence and skills in the veterinary world, or if you are experienced and looking to work with other like-minded Veterinary Surgeons, then they would love to hear from you. They are looking for a veterinary surgeon to join the team either on a full or part-time basis, with hours open to negotiation, however, there would be a requirement of 1.5 weekends a month.

Their partner has a keen interest in surgery with a lot of experience, and one of their nurses is a veterinary behaviourist meaning they accept behavioural referrals in-house.
In practice, they run 15-minute consults, with diary space for emergencies or on-the-day bookings, alongside additional time for any admin. Their strong nursing team also conduct appointments where they can for 2nd vaccinations, post-op checks, and schedule 3, to assist their vet team. This collaborative working as a clinical team has resulted in them being proud owners of RCVS accreditation along with ISFM and RAWF silver awards.
As you would expect from the market leader in small animal veterinary care, they offer:
- Excellent career and development opportunities.
- Competitive Salary dependent on experience
- Contributory pension scheme
- Relocation package
- Generous CPD and funding of certificates for the right candidate
- Paid memberships (RCVS, BVA, VDS)
