Meet Lynsey – our locum recruiter

Lynsey started at her first vet practice at the age of 16, straight from school, almost 30 years ago. She’s worked in small animal practices and mixed animal practices, and at all seniority levels, from receptionist to head nurse and everything in between. For the last 15 years, she’s worked as a vet nurse at Vets4Pets—the last five of those as Practice Manager.

In the midst of all this, Lynsey also found time to do a Master’s in Veterinary Business Management. She understands vet practices from both sides, which gives her the competitive edge when recruiting locums for practices and finding vet locum jobs for candidates.

Her Master’s degree gives her the edge in understanding the overall running of the practice, balancing budgets, maintaining teams and remaining cohesive. Her nursing skills enable her to understand the challenges veterinary professionals face, how to manage rotas and teams, and how to handle difficult times and talent shortages.
